Megapress connectors for corrosion protection without rework

The press connectors for the Megapress and Megapress S piping  systems do not require any additional corrosion protection. They are perfectly suited for use in cold and cooling water systems thanks to their factory-fitted external zinc-nickel coating.

Additional corrosion protection can be omitted if the installation is properly insulated. A corrosion protection system according to DIN EN ISO 12944 must be agreed upon in advance. Additional corrosion protection is then no longer necessary when using Megapress and Megapress S press connectors. This saves time and money.

Cheaper than welding

The Megapress and Megapress S piping systems are installed using cold press connection technology. They are therefore a cost-saving alternative to the time-consuming welding of thick-walled steel pipes. This is especially true in times of skilled worker shortages. The installation technology is also safer because work does not have to be carried out with an open flame. Both press connector systems are also equipped with the SC-Contur. This ensures forced leakage in the unpressed state, meaning that inadvertently unpressed connections are noticed right away during a leakage test. 

The connectors are factory-fitted with an external zinc-nickel coating and are available in the following dimensions: DN 10 to DN 50 (Megapress) and DN 10 to DN 100 (Megapress S). Megapress connectors are fitted with EPDM sealing elements. Sealing elements made of FKM are used for Megapress S connectors. 

Megapress and Megapress S piping systems make installing cold and cooling water systems significantly more cost effective. There are two reasons for this: firstly, subsequent corrosion protection can be omitted. Secondly, cold press connection technology drastically reduces the installation time.
